The Court Branch
Konungur and Drotning - The King and Queen. The thread that holds the pack together, whose words ring finality and change. They are wise and just, or at least do their best to be. Strong of mind and/or body, they are respected by the pack, putting the needs of Fjord before their own.
Greifi and Greifa - The Count and Countess. Close friends or children of the Konungur and Drotning, they are the enforcers, ensuring the law and word are followed through verbal or phyical means; guardians as well as advisors. They are not usually a mated pair.
Spámaddur and Saeringamanni - The Prophet and the Enchanter. Two keepers of the realm's laws, code, and history who instruct new recruits and young children. Spamaddur educates traditionally, while Saeringamanni spins stories. They are often called upon by the Konungur to asses the best approach to situations and they also pair mentors with apprentices and reserve the right to say no to a match.
The Militia Branch
Meistari - Master and Commander of the Militia branch. Above all, sworn to protect Fjord and obey the konungur, answering only to him. He carries out orders to the Ridarrar, oversees and participates in spars between the Fyrd, ensures the Militia is always up to par.
Ridarrar - The three Knights, head of each Fyrd branch. Equivalent to brigadiers. Ensure orders are completed and conducted honorably. Responsible for keeping Fyrds' abilities sharp and in shape at all times.
Fyrd - The Warriors, split into three specific branches...
-- (Quartermasters) - Highly specialized. Head of intelligence and strategy operations. They go out of their way to socialize with other packs in order to find the best alliances for Fjord to make. They are expected to know their way around the battlefield from their first beginnings as privates and vanguards, as also to know how to speak with a level-headed tongue.
-- (Vanguards) - The strong protectors of Fyrd, equivalent to colonels, so to speak, and make up the frontlines during war or raids. In peace, they are always prepared, keeping guard at high traffic points along the territorial borders. They are guides to the quartermaster operatives.
--(Privates) - The foot soldiers, messengers, and main patrol, reporting to guards periodically and making up the second line of defense in wars and raids, creating the bulk of the Fyrd rank. Communicate invitations to allies regarding feasts or battles.
The Societal Branch
Karls - Noble men and women. Take on advisory duties alongside those conducted as a Goddi.
Goddi - Free men and women. Fjord's core and bulk members that hunt, recruit, and babysit, among other duties.
Lærlinger - Apprentices. Those that are currently studying under a mentor in the ways of the hunt, the fight, and the society's code of law.
Byorn - Children, the future of Fjord. When deemed ready, they seek out a mentor in order to advance to the laerlinger rank.
Thralls - Slaves, prisoners. Equivalent to an omega. Outsiders that gravely insulted Fjord, traitors, or those that have dishonored themselves.
